Deborah K. Shewman has over 15 years experience in the legal field. She worked as a senior litigation law clerk in Toronto law firms, and was a member of the Ontario Institute of Law Clerks; working in the areas of personal injury, professional negligence, medical malpractice, criminal and civil litigation, account collections and small claims court.
Deborah K Shewman then continued her education and graduated with honors as a paralegal. After obtaining her paralegal license, she opened her own paralegal practice where she has represented her clients in Small Claims Court, Provincial Court, The Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, The Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, The Landlord & Tenant Board, The Medical Professions Appeal and Review Board, as well as negotiated settlement of other matters. Deborah’s knowledge, past experience, professionalism, and personal attributes are assets for all of her clients.
Deborah K. Shewman was an Instructor and coordinator of the paralegal program at CTS Canadian Career College. She is licensed and a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, and carries errors and omissions insurance. She is also a member of the Ontario Paralegal Association as well as a member of the Advocacy Club.
